Unfortunately, the DIY service is only available in Sydney and Melbourne.

These are the steps for the HouseMinders do-it-yourself (DIY) service:

Step 1 - Registration

Choose the method that's best for you:

• Register on-line
  Simply fill out the registration form, include a brief description of your requirements and hit the send button.
• Registration by Fax
  If you prefer, you can print out the registration form and fax us your details (complete with credit card details) to       1800 61 64 93

  To view the form you need Adobe Acrobat. Get the free Reader if needed.

• Registration by Post
  Customers who prefer post, or wish to pay by cheque or money order, can send their completed forms to HouseMinders, Suite 4, 51 Begonia Road, Elsternwick, Victoria 3185, Australia

Step 2 - Directory sent to you

We send you the most recent directory of the minders nominating an interest in your state.  You can expect to receive this within 3 days of registration.

Step 3 - Choose your minder

Simply read the profiles of the minders in your directory and contact those that sound most promising.

While we are very proud of our minders, a degree of patience is sometimes required when going through the selection process.  Please be aware that:

• minders may be unavailable for a number of reasons: away on business, on vacation, on another assignment or ill
• telephone tag can be frustrating
• locations may not suit some minders - proximity to public transport etc
• your dates may clash with other commitments
• last minute hitches can occur

Step 4 - Notification

When you locate the right minder, please inform us of the names of the minder(s) you have selected, together with the start and end dates of your trip.  We will then take these minders off the active list.

Step 5 - Agreement

Go through your requirements with your new houseminder and get ready to go.
